These List 82s are almost the last of the "small barrel, small bonnet" style;
with a few exceptions found in later vintage groups.
Bonnet: "lacework" on the underside, only the word "Open" cast on the
top
Nozzles: leaded-in

Logo: updated by dropping the redundant "M'FG. CO." after the words
"CHAPMAN VALVE" on the circle in the
"snowflake". Two versions exist with regard to the large letters "C" & "V" in the
middle of the logo:
the early flat letters at the left
the later rounded letters at the right.

These List 82s are the first of the "large barrel, large bonnet" style.
Bonnet: "lacework" on the underside, only the word "Open" cast on the
top. The hydrants in photos 0814 & 1708 below likely have incorrect bonnets.
Logo: the same 8-point "snowflake" surrounding the rounded letters "C" and "V"
on top of each other with "MFG. CO. " in the very
middle. "U.S.A." is added to the wording "CHAPMAN
VALVE BOSTON U.S.A." on the circle in the "snowflake" as shown at the left.
