Universal Flow Engineering is a manufacturer of fire hydrant parts and accessories. They were incorporated in 1991. The hydrants shown here consist of replacement barrels attached to the lower barrels/mainvalves of other maker's hydrants.

This fire hydrant is a conversion kit for a Ludlow Valve hydrant. The upper portion is all UFE while the lower barrel and lower slide gate system is the original from Ludlow Valve. About 100 of these kits were manufactured for Toronto's North York district.
