Model: Unknown

The model designation of this hydrant is currently unknown to FireHydrant.org. It is somewhat similar in appearance to this Lawson hydrant and this Toronto Water Works hydrant. The model pictured below was patented in 1882, but it’s actual date is unknown. This is a one piece barrel hydrant with a frost jacket. An interesting feature of this model is a four hole flange at the ground line. The four bolts ran the length of the barrel, from this flange, to the mainvalve. The bolts were concealed between the barrel and frost jacket.
