Little is known about the foundry that produced this hydrant. The L. Seguin & Cie. catalog of valves and fittings and accessories for boilers and steam engines from 1900 contains text to suggest that the company had been in business for a long time prior to this time. In the catalog are many types of valves, pressure gauges, thermometers, greasing devices, public fountains, underground fire hydrants, and the one above ground hydrant shown here.
