      early "Hi-Flo" (1981 - 1985)
    Mueller literature also lists 10 catalog numbers for this model (A-480-A thru A-480-K) which corresponds to 10 different nozzle configurations/orientations of 2-way and 3-way hydrants.
  • "Mueller / Albertville, Ala", year of manufacture, and A-480 are cast on the hydrant.
  • Note the two-piece barrel design.

    This model, while very different looking than the previous model, was also called the Mueller Hi-Flo model. Mueller literature dated 04/97 lists 4 catalog numbers for this model (A-481-E thru A-481-H) which corresponds to 4 different nozzle configurations/orientations of 2-way and 3-way hydrants.
  • "Mueller / Albertville, Ala", year of manufacture, and A-481 are cast on the hydrant.
  • Note the one-piece barrel design.

      City Spec Hydrants
    Mueller also produced small quantities of wet barrel hydrants for the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) in California and the Board of Water Supply of Honolulu, Hawaii. These hydrants are based on M. Greenberg designs.
