Canadian Locomotive and Engine Company, Ltd. - Kingston, Ontario
It is believed that the Canadian Locomotive and Engine Company Ltd. made these hydrants for the city of Kingston, Ontario. The company made steam locomotives, marine and fire engines, as well "machinery, generally" according to an 1867 advertisement. A few of these hydrants remain in service, and are known simply as Kingston hydrants.
