Kellam Foundry was started about 1915 in High Point, North Carolina, by C.E. Kellam Sr. (who already had started a foundry in Biscoe, NC).

Around 1959-60 Kellam Foundry started making fire hydrants. They were the main manufacturer of fire hydrants in NC until the company was sold to Mueller around 1963.

Other products made by Kellam Foundry include andirons, plow points, water meters with lids, manhole rings and covers, window weights, castings, and gray iron products.
