The Glamorgan Co. - Lynchburg, VA
Glamorgan Works - Lynchburg, VA
Glamorgan Pipe & Foundry - Lynchburg, VA

The Glamorgan Company was located in Lynchburg, VA on the James River. Variations of the company name found on hydrants include "The Glamorgan Co." and "Glamorgan Works". At some point in the early 1900s the company stopped manufacturing fire hydrants and was bought out by a few different companies. At some point the company name was changed to Glamorgan Pipe & Foundry. The original plant is owned by Griffin Pipe, and is still manufacturing pipe today.

If you have any information about the Glamorgan Company and its hydrants, an old advertisement, catalog or brochure, old records at your water agency, a photo of a Glamorgan hydrant not shown on this page, etc. please E-mail US.
