Identifying Characteristics: Combination public water hydrant and fire hydrant.

  • Appearance is reminiscent of a tombstone.
  • Was installed throughout France, as well as in Hanoi and Haiphong Vietnam
  • Single fire fighting nozzle was on the side of the hydrant, concealed behind a hinged door, the valve operated with a key or wrench.
